Matthew graduated from Teesside University in 2021 with a degree in Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation before completing a Master’s in Physiotherapy in early 2023.
He began working in private practice as a Sports Rehabilitator, treating both athletes and non-athletes alike, before transitioning into occupational health. He now works as an MSK Physiotherapist with Durham County Council, helping individuals manage and recover from musculoskeletal conditions.
His passion for physiotherapy was sparked by a personal experience with an ACL rupture that sidelined his football career. While football is now in the past, he continues to stay active through running and strength training.
With a strong interest in both sports-related injuries and persistent pain conditions, Matthew is dedicated to helping patients optimise their performance and recovery. He prioritises clear, honest, and evidence-based advice, ensuring patients receive guidance that is both practical and relevant to their rehabilitation journey.
